An Ideal Culture Workshop

Learn how your mission-driven organization can become more effective!

Purpose: To facilitate change through an experiential learning process -- for mission-driven organizations wanting a culture where the mission, vision, and guiding principles of the organization are aligned with the individual growth & development of employees.

Foundation: This interactive workshop focuses on an approach to culture change based on 30 years of research and innovation by Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey, professors at Harvard University. These world-renowned researchers have influenced leadership education and professional development around the world. Their books have won several awards and focus on how to unlock the potential in yourself and your organization. Their newest book, An Everyone Culture, is gaining recognition as one of the best books of 2016. Each participant will receive a comprehensive Participant Guide that will provide an action plan for individual growth & development following the workshop. An ideal culture is where the mission, vision, and guiding principles of the company are aligned with action plans for the individual growth & development of ALL employees.

Impact: You will take away from this workshop --

  • How to initiate a change process that reveals your “competing commitments” and how they often sabotage your improvement goals.

  • An understanding of what behaviors can be changed to support your improvement goals.

  • In-depth learning on how your current mindset produces exactly those behaviors that prevent progress toward your goals.

  • An action plan and MAP that you can use for your individual growth & development, or with co-workers and teams within your organization.

  • How to create "an ideal culture" -- a culture where individual growth & development is as important as the bottom line.

Presenters: Connie Ostwald, PhD and Gary Ostwald, PhD have been trained by Harvard professors, Drs. Kegan and Lahey in facilitating this innovative approach to change. Gary & Connie are the founders of Leading in Community, a nonprofit corporation focused on helping organizations learn how to create a culture where individual growth & development is as important as the bottom line.

Participants: Individuals, intact teams, and groups of people from organizations who desire to make those individual and collective changes that are very important to them -- but have proven resistant -- both to thoughtful plans and to heartfelt intentions.
